This is the second edition of Linked Learning. The first edition (Linked Learning 2011: 1st International Workshop on E-Learning Approaches for the Linked Data Age) was held together with the 8th Extended Semantic Web Conference, ESWC2011 in Heraklion, Crete in May 2011. The workshop was a great success, being one of the best-attended workshops during ESWC2011 featuring 13 high quality paper presentations, inspiring keynotes and very enthusiastic and engaging presentations and discussions. Several related follow-up activities can be seen as another sign of the success of the event: four outstanding papers from the workshop were selected to be published in the ESWC-2011 post-proceedings (in addition to the general workshop proceedings), and extended versions of some of the workshop papers were invited to submit to a special issue of Interactive Learning Environments dedicated to the workshop theme which is guest-edited by the workshop chairs.
